Brandon McCall is the Chair of the IHO Board of Directors and serves as Chair of the Governance Committee. Prior to assuming the role of Chair, he was the Treasurer, and he has been a board member since 2018. He is the Vice President of Structured Finance at the National Equity Fund focused on originating workforce and preservation debt and equity in the western and southern United States. In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor for the Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California (his alma mater).
What is an affordable housing developer’s role in society? “To contribute to the built environment by designing and developing beautiful buildings. I stress the word ‘beautiful’ because there is often backlash to the cost of affordable housing, and my response is simply that we shouldn’t build anything that we wouldn’t want to live in ourselves.”
