El Verano Apartments was once the site of a blighted, nuisance motel in Anaheim. It is now a three-story affordable senior housing community that combines Spanish-style design with comfortable interior furnishings, native landscaping, sustainable elements, private balconies, and common interior and exterior spaces that encourage social engagement and resident wellness. Improved lighting and security features are seamlessly integrated into the design so that residents and visitors feel relaxed and safe. El Verano’s adjacency to IHO’s Rockwood Apartments allows us to offer occasional multigenerational programming to connect the residents of both properties. Partnerships with local services providers ensure our seniors have access to healthy food, transportation to medical appointments and social outings. Resident services enhance quality of life and empower residents to take charge of their well-being and prolong their physical and mental health.
